Mens Issues Counseling in Atlanta, GA
“When did you last feel alive? When did you feel connected to your body, connected to others? That’s the essence of desire that we’re trying to get back to.”
It’s no secret that men are often socialized to be self-sufficient problem-solvers.
This strategy works great for things like home repair projects (well, sometimes it works out), but it is sometimes an unhelpful approach for things like forming intimate relationships and disrupting addictive patterns of behavior (substance use, porn, etc.).
By providing practical next steps and facilitating emotional relearning, I help men to grow and heal in a way that resonates with them.
I am passionate about helping other men become the men that they want to be. Together, we will figure out what is getting in the way of that so that you can live with more freedom, courage, and integrity.
Common issues that I help men with:
Attachment issues (anxious attachment, avoidant attachment, and disorganized attachment styles)
Strained relationships (marriage, romantic relationships, and friendships)
Professional burnout and purposelessness
Loneliness and isolation
Childhood emotional trauma
Sexual abuse
Pornography
People-pleasing tendencies
Spirituality and religious trauma
Grief
Many clients are struggling with a combination of several of these things. I can help you to engage your story, increase self-awareness and insight, and experience healing through emotional relearning and actionable steps to take outside of your sessions.
